Hesychasm (from Greek. Hesychasmos, from esychia, calm peace, absence of worry) is an ascetic doctrine and practice widespread among monks in the Christian East since the time of the Desert Fathers (4th century). A practice still widespread in the Orthodox world and in particular by the monks of Mount Athos.
Esichia is search for inner peace, in union with God and in harmony with the Creation Wine ChiantiRiserva, made from more than 80% Sangiovese grapes and other international vines permitted by theproduction regulations. Ruby red in colour, tending to garnet and aged five years at least. Deep and intense on the nose withdelicate notes of underbrush (blueberry, black cherry, morello cherry), complemented by pleasant floralscents. In the mouth it is enveloping, gritty and savoury with silky and elegant tannins. The finish isvibrant and very long. We recommend a tasting that induces calm, almost interior recollection in order to savour the intrinsiccharacteristics of the wine. Goes well with grilled meat dishes, game, stews and aged cheeses.

Winemaking
Vinification: Manual harvest, carefully selecting the ripest bunches.
Aging: 18 months in oak barrels and 9 months in bottles in an underground cellar suitable for maturation.
Description
Esicasmo, an Eastern ascetic practice based on calmness and harmony, has been rooted among Christian monks since the 4th century. This concept of inner peace and union with God is reflected in Chianti Riserva, a deep ruby red wine with notes of undergrowth and flowers. In the mouth, it is enveloping and savory, with elegant tannins and a long finish. Perfect with grilled meat, game, stews, and aged cheeses. A meditative tasting is recommended to fully appreciate its intrinsic qualities.
